A 29-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl were injured Wednesday night following a single-car crash on U.S. Highway 101 just north of Potlatch.
The State Patrol says a 1995 Buick Riviera was southbound on 101 about 10:30 PM. At milepost 333, the card fish-tailed, left the roadway to the right and rolled. The Buick came to rest on its top in the ditch.
The woman from the Skokomish Nation was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton. The girl was treated at the scene. An 8-year-old boy was also in the car but was not injured.
The Trooper’s report indicated that drugs ro alcohol were involved and speed was also a contributing factor in the cause of the crash.
The driver faces charges of DUI and Speed Too Fast for Conditions.
