Two Shelton women and a child were injured in a crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 101 at Shelton Matlock Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 1999 Buick LeSabre was northbound on 101 about 4:45 PM. As the car approached the Shelton Matlock Road interchange, it drifted onto the shoulder. The driver, a 39-year-old woman, over-corrected and the Buick crossed the southbound lane, striking the southbound guardrail.
The driver, a 58-year-old woman, and a child were transported to Mason General Hospital.
The Trooper’s report indicates that speed caused this crash and the driver was cited for speed too fast for conditions, no valid operator license and no insurance.
The car was totaled.
