Two men were injured in a single-car crash near the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 106 early Friday morning.
The Washington State Patrol says a 1992 Honda Accord was northbound on State Route 3 at a high rate of speed about 12:15 AM. At milepost 24 (near the intersection with SR-106), the Honda passed another vehicle on the left. The driver, a 20-year-old Grapeview man, lost control and the Accord rolled into the northbound ditch.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and became entrapped inside the car. He was extricated by North Mason Regional Fire Authority crews and then was transported to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
The passenger in the Honda, a 19-year-old Belfair man, was treated at the scene of the crash and release. He was wearing a seatbelt.
A press memo indicates that drugs or alchol were involved in the crash and the driver faces DUI charges.
