Groundbreaking for Shelton YMCA

[VIDEO] Officials with South Sound YMCA, City of Shelton and the many supporters of building a YMCA in Shelton gathered Tuesday for a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction of a new $16 million, 37,500 square foot multi-purpose YMCA community facility in Shelton. The ceremony was held at the site of the new Y: Wallace Kneeland Boulevard and North Shelton Springs Road.

Among those to speak during the ceremony were Scott Beckwith from the YMCA Board of Trustees; Kyle Cronk, South Sound YMCA President & CEO; Patti Case, YMCA Capital Campaign Chair; Shelton School Board & Squaxin Island Tribal Member Sally Brownfield; and Shelton Mayor Bob Rogers.
