[LIVE VIDEO] Watch the 10th Annual Union Pumpkin Catapult Contest presented by the North Mason Chamber of Commerce and Hunter Farms. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will be broadcasting the competition beginning at 12 PM. Students from Rainier High School (Coach/teacher – John Lybecker), West Sound Tech (Coach/teacher – Eric Erickson) and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Coach – Tyler Anderson) will be showing off their engineering skills and compete by tossing pumpkins for distance and accuracy.
The trebuchets will also be judged on their design and a team will be selected as “People Choice – Best Team Spirit.” This year’s judges are 6th District United States Representative Derek Kilmer, 35th District State Representative Drew MacEwen, 35th District State Representative Dan Griffey, Mason County Commissioner Kevin Shutty, Mason County Commissioner Sharon Trask, North Mason Chamber Board Chair Pam Volz, and Past Chairman of the North Mason Board Darren Corliss.
