City Council Briefed on 2020 Budget

[VIDEO] The Shelton City Council discussed the City’s 2020 budget Tuesday night.

The preliminary budget for next year totals $30.4 Million – $12.3 Million from the General Fund and includes a one-percent increase in property taxes.

A public hearing on the preliminary budget and property tax was held during the City Council’s business meeting that night but no one testified.

The City Council is scheduled to discuss the budget again on November 5th with additional public hearings set for November 19th and December 3rd.
