Three people were flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 101 near Power House Road in Potlatch Saturday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a northbound 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe “drifted” over the center line and struck a southbound 2019 Jeep Cherokee in the southbound lane about 5 PM.
Highway 101 was closed for 4 hours and 15 minutes as the crash resulted in an entrapment. Troopers were also investigating the collision as a possible vehicular assault since drugs or alcohol are believed to be involved.
The driver of the Tahoe, Jeremy J. Senske, 40 of Bonney Lake, was airlifted to Harborview from the crash scene.
A passenger in the Jeep, Cody L. MacFadyen, 40 of Seattle, was also airlifted from the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, Katie N. Moss, 37 of Seattle, was transported by ambulance to Mason General Hospital in Shelton and then airlifted to Harborview.
Both SUVs were totaled and impounded. The crash remains under investigation.
