New Buildings at Shelton High School Celebrated

[VIDEO] For the second day in a row, the community came out to celebrate the completion of the new addition and auxilary gym at Shelton High School. The new three-story 47,000 square foot addition includes 19 Classrooms, 8 Science Labs, 1 Culinary Art Space, 2 Art Rooms and a Yearbook/Photography Room. The new Auxiliary Gymnasium is over 7,000 square feet and is called Highclimber Gym.

During Thursday’s celebration in the new gym, Superintendent Dr. Alex Apostle once again thanked the community for stepping up and passing the $65 Million bond that built the high school addition, auxilary gym, new Mt. View Elementary and numerous other improvements in the Shelton School District.

Dr. Apostle also received a standing ovation.

Sandy Tarzwell is President of the Shelton School Board.

Don Welander is co-chair of the bond committee.

There are improvements to several athletic facilities at the Shelton High School still in the works.
