City Accepting Tourism Funding Applications

The City of Shelton is currently accepting applications for tourism funding grants, allocated through the City’s lodging tax fund. The City collects a 4% tax on lodging within Shelton city limits, dedicated for the use of promoting tourism, supporting the operations of tourism related facilities and activities, and general operations of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists to Shelton.

Applicants must demonstrate how the allocation of lodging tax funds will result in an increase in the number of people traveling to Shelton.

Applications will be accepted until August 31, 2019. All applications will be reviewed by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee prior to final recommendation to the Shelton City Council.
