A 32-year-old Allyn man was airlifted Sunday morning after his truck hit a tree and utility pole on Highway 3 near Krabbenhoft Road.
The Washington State Patrol says the 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck was southbound on State Route 3 about 4:30 AM. Near Krabbenhoff Road, the truck failed to negotiate the right hand turn and crossed the northbound lane striking the tree and utility pole. The Ford rolled and came to rest on its tires in the northbound lane. The driver was ejected from the truck.
The highway was blocked for nearly an hour and a half.
A press memo indicates that drugs or alcohol were involved as well as excessive speed.
The driver of the pickup was identified as Miguel Pablo Juan who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He faces charges of Driving Under the Influence.
