This week, the Shelton City Council approved a contract with Sierra Santa Fe Corporation out of Ridgefield, WA to complete the City’s chip seal work this summer. Crews will be applying chip seal to four streets: Wallace Kneeland Boulevard from Olympic Highway North to Shelton Springs Road; Shelton Springs Road from 13th to the City Limits; East “B” Street and 13th from Olympic Highway North to Northcliff Road; and 13th from Northcliff to Wallace Kneeland.
According to Craig Gregory, Public Works Director for the City, Sierra Santa Fe’s bid of $221,895.00 is over the city’s budget for this type of work. which, as Gregory explained,
The chip seal work is expected to begin in late August.
