The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what is being described as a targeted home robbery Saturday on Larson Lake Lane in Belfair which drew a large law enforcement response.
Chief Deputy Ryan Spurling told MasonWebTV Powered by HCC that two male individuals came to the house in the 200 block of Larson Lake Lane about 9:30 PM, displayed a weapon and demanded money and drugs.
“Kind of a forced entry by two individuals that are still at-large,” Spurling said, explaining there is no danger to the community. “We don’t believe that there is any danger to the community at this point. We believe it was a targeted incident.”
The suspects are described as approximately six-foot tall, thin build. One was wearing a black jacket and dark pants. The other had on a gray sweatshirt and dark pants.
The two fled the house before law enforcement arrived. Deputies were assisted by several agencies which included Bremerton Police and the Washington State Patrol.
“We do not feel there was a danger to the community,” the Chief reiterated. “Obviously, we set up containment, did a dog track and did everything we could to find the individuals. But there was no indication to believe the community was in danger.”
The investigation is ongoing.
