State Track Results through Friday

Heading into the third and final day of State Track & Field Championships, Mary M. Knight’s Kaylee Sowle took the Class 1B state title in the High Jump (tying her state record height of 5-foot-8) and won the Long Jump at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. Sowle is also in the finals for the 200 Meter Dash (set for 6:35 PM Saturday) and the finals for the Triple Jump.

The Owls’ Austin Fries finished 4th in the Class 1B Triple Jump and is in the finals for the High Jump.
Isaiah Compton placed 4th in the Class 1B Discus Throw.

In the Class 3A Meet at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Shelton’s McKenzie Salazar-Fox placed 4th in the Shot Put.

At the Class 2A Meet (also at Mt. Tahoma), North Mason’s Christopher Ramsey finished 7th in the the Long Jump.
