A deceased male was recovered from Goldsborough Creek in Shelton Saturday. According to a news release, at approximately 2 PM, Shelton Police responded to a call from a kayaker reporting what appeared to be a body floating in Goldsborough Creek near the 200 block of Park Street.
The body was promptly recovered by a swift water rescue team. Investigators did not see any obvious signs of trauma. The body appeared to have been in the water for an extended period time. The body was released to the Mason County Coroner and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
The preliminary investigation suggests the male could be a man who was reported missing in March. Formal identification of the deceased will be announced by the Mason County Coroner’s Office.
