Pedestrian Struck in Downtown Shelton

A 62-year-old woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Wednesday after being struck by a truck at 1st and Railroad in downtown Shelton.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the woman was in the crosswalk walking southbound across Railroad Avenue about 5:20 PM when she was struck by a 2000 Ford F-250 as it turned left from northbound 1st Street onto westbound Railroad Avenue.

A press memo identifies the woman as Jane E. Odowd (hometown not released) and says the driver of the truck was Zane N. Hansen, 46 of Shelton.

The memo also indicates drugs or alcohol were involved. The investigation continues.
