Sub Regional Wrestling Results

NM Wins Title, Qualifies 13 for Regionals; SHS Qualifies 13 for Regionals

The North Mason wrestling team won the Class 2A Sub Regional at Port Angeles High School. Six Bulldogs took home titles with seven others qualifying for Regionals.

Juan-Miguel Jesus-Miguel won the Sub Regional title at 113 pounds.
Domingo Pedro-Gaspar took the Sub Regional title at 126 pounds.
Thomas Francisco-Juan was Sub Regional champ at 138 pounds.
Cole Varick won the Sub Regional title at 152 pounds.
Daniel Pulley took the Sub Regional championship at 160 pounds.
Wylee Rice took the Sub Regional title at 285 pounds.

Brenden Miller (285 lbs.) placed 2nd.
Izaiah Smith (106 lbs.) and Jared Dyer (220 lbs.) took 3rd.
Juan Pedro-Alonzl (132 lbs.), Gabe Morton (152 lbs.), Damien Canady (182 lbs.), and Devin Rea (195 lbs.) finished 4th.
Antonio Pedro-Alonzo (120 lbs.), Gabrial Navarro (126 lbs.), and Josh Raymond (182 lbs.) were 5th.
From the North Mason girls’ wrestling team, Kira Schwerzler placed 5th at 115 pounds.

The Shelton wrestling team finished 3rd in the Class 3A (SSC) Sub Regional Tournament at Capital High School. The Highclimbers as a team had 180.5 points with one title and five others qualifying for the Regionals next week at Yelm High School.

Cameron MacAlevy won his second Sub Regional title at 120 pounds.

Peace Lee (126 lbs.), Robbie Allred (145 lbs.), Trevor Meier (182 lbs.) and Ammon Anderson (195 lbs.) each took 2nd.
Braden MacAlevy (132 lbs.) finished 3rd.
Beau Ward (138 lbs.), Caleb Bautista-Brown (152 lbs.) and Noah Kennedy (220 lbs.) will be Regional Alternates after placing 5th in their respective weights.

The Shelton girls’ wrestling team took 4th in the Region 2 Girls Sub Regional at Thomas Jefferson High School in Auburn. Six Lady Highclimbers qualified for Regionals.

Ne’a Moffett (130 lbs.), Jazlind Warren (170 lbs.) and Quinn Lacy (235 lbs.) place 2nd in their weight classes.
Julia Ragsdale (100 lbs.) took 3rd.
Miracle Horne (115 lbs.) and Claudia Ramirez (140 lbs.) were 4th.
