The Washington State Patrol has identified the driver of a minivan that hit a 10-year-old boy on U.S. Highway 101 near Oyster Bay Road Sunday and is seeking information on his whereabouts.

A news release identifies the suspected driver as Irven Jacobs.

Around 5:30 PM Sunday, January 27th, 10-year-old Isaiah Bermeno was struck and critically injured by a driver who fled the scene in what witnesses said was a silver or cream minivan.

Isaiah, who is autistic, had wondered away from his home just minutes before he was struck. He was airlifted to Harborview.

The following day, WSP detectives located the minivan on a gravel road in Shelton – within 10 miles of the collision scene. They developed information identifying Jacobs as the driver and are now looking for him.
