A 45-year-old Allyn man was injured in a crash on U.S. Highway 12 west of Elma Thursday afternoon. A State Patrol press memo says a 1995 Toyota Camry and a 2012 Kenworth Construction Tractor were eastbound on U.S. 12 about 1:30 PM. The Camry was in lane one. The Kenworth was in lane two. At milepost 15 (five miles west of Elma), the Toyota changed lanes to pass another vehicle and was rear-ended by the Kenworth.
The driver of the Camry, Scott A. Kralicek, 45 of Allyn, was injured and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.
The driver of the Kenworth, Matthew J. Smith, 40 of Chehalis, was not injured.
Cause of the crash was failing to yield right of way.
