George Blush Announces Candidacy for City Council

Volunteer and business owner George Blush has announced he will run for Shelton City Council Seat #1.

Blush owns Nita’s Koffe Shop and founded 5xl Shelton, a pet food rescue organization that provides pet food and supplies to seniors, low-income and homeless families. He and his family also volunteer at the Saints Pantry.

In his announcement, Blush cites his dedication to the community and “the Love it has shown us” as reasons for running.

“The City has begun to move in the right direction over the last year,” Blush explains. “I look forward to helping it continue to do so.”

Blush plans on “running a positive campaign” and looks forward to “meeting the people of my community who I haven’t met yet and getting to work for all of you here in MY City!”

You can find out more about George Blush on Facebook or, as he says in the candidacy announcement, “better yet come to Nita’s and talk to me anytime.”

The Shelton City Council Seat #1 is currently held by Gary Cronce.

Official Candidate Filing period begins May 13th.
