One Injured in Crash South of Belfair

A woman from Cinebar was injured in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 3 south of Belfair Friday morning. The State Patrol says a northbound 2003 Ford F-150 pickup spun out and struck the guardrail near milepost 23 about 5:30 AM. A northbound 2012 Nissan Versa also spun out and struck a southbound 2013 Volkswagen Jetta and then struck the truck. The Ford and Nissan came to rest in the northbound lane while the Jetta ended up in the southbound lane. State Route 3 was fully block for two and a half hours.

The driver of the VW, Loraine D. Wood, 62 of Cinebar, was transported by aid car to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
The driver of the Ford, Metz D. Abbot, 55 of Belfair, and the driver of the Nissan, Gerald L. Forbes, 42 of Sheton, were not injured.

The three vehicles involvved in the crash sustain “reportable” damage and were impounded.

Speed and weather conditions were contributing factors to this crash two miles south of Belfair near North Mason School Road.
