The City of Shelton has appointed Stephen Greer the new Municipal Court Judge, effective January 1, 2019.
Greer has over twenty-five years of part-time judicial experience in several municipal and district courts, including fourteen years in the Mason County District Court, specializing in mental health and substance abuse. He is also experienced in personnel and budget management.
As a judicial officer, Stephen has presided over thousands of criminal and civil hearings, and over one hundred jury trials. He believes that the court experience should be fair and respectful for all participants.
“I am looking forward to working as a team with Court staff to serve the community as Shelton’s Municipal Court Judge,” said Greer.

The Shelton City Council confirmed Greer’s appointment Tuesday night.
