City Presents State Legislative Requests

[VIDEO] Monday, officials with the City of Shelton asked State Representatives Dan Griffey and Drew MacEwen for their help in securing funding for six projects.

The City plans to seek Transportation Budget funding for intersection improvements at Wallace Kneeland Boulevard and Shelton Springs Road, and improvements along the Railroad Avenue Corridor from 7th Street to at least the City Limits (possibly to U.S. Highway 101 if the County decides to participate.)

The City also plans to seek Capital Budget funds to design and construct a new Well 1 Water Main, make improvements to Evergreen Town Square to construct a community event space, to improve the gravel parking lot adjacent to the Shelton Civic Center, and assist the Mason County Historical Society with purchasing an adjacent building.

The 2019 State Legislative Session begins Janary 14th.
