The Flood Warning continues for the Skokomish River near Potlatch. Heavy rain Sunday drove the Skokomish River above flood stage. The river will recede somewhat today, but remain above flood stage. More rain tonight will cause the river to rise again.
Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.
Another wet frontal system will arrive Monday night and Tuesday. The front will probably stall for a time over southwest Washington and 3 to 5 inches of rain is possible in the mountains. The snow level will rise to around 5000 feet. This amount of rain will increase the chance of some rivers, mainly in southwest Washington and in the Olympic Mountains, reaching flood stage.
