The Shelton wrestling team had one champion and four place at the John Birbeck Tournament Saturday.
Ammon Anderson won the Tournament at 195 pounds.
Cameron McAlevy placed third at 132 pounds
Peace Lee finished third at 138 pounds.
Beau Ward was fifth at 160 pounds.
And Michael Gilman took fifth at 182 pounds.
At the Aberdeen Kick Off Classic Wrestling Tournament, the North Mason wrestling team had three champions.
Juan-Meguel Jesus-Miguel won the tournament at 120 pounds.
Domingo Pedro-Gaspar won 132-pound championship.
Thomas Fancisco-Juan took the championship at 138 pounds.
Cole Tate finished second at 106 pounds.
The North Mason girls’ basketball team improved to 4-and-0 on the season Saturday crushing Crosspoint 63 to 21. The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 23 to 7 first quarter lead, led 42 to 17 at the half and only allowed four points in the second half while scoring 21. The girls’ from Belfair open Olympic League play at Olympic High School on Wednesday.
The North Mason boys’ basketball team knocked off Crosspoint 65 to 56 Saturday rebounding from their loss to Shelton the night before. The Bulldogs are now 2-and-2 on the season. The boys from Belfair travel to Chimacum Monday.
