The Board of Mason County Commissioners is seeking applications to fill a position on the Mason County Civil Service Commission. This is for a six year term that will end on December 31, 2024.
To qualify, the individual must be a United States citizen, a resident of Mason County for at least the past two years and an elector in Mason County. This person cannot be employed by Mason County and shall serve without compensation. At the time of appointment not more than two commissioners shall be adherents of the same political party.
The general purpose of the Civil Service Commission is to establish a merit system of employment for county deputy sheriffs and other employees of the office of county sheriff.
The Mason County Civil Service Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5: 00 p. m. in Mason County Building 1, 411 North 5th Street, Shelton.
