Olsen Building Purchase Again Draws Concern

[VIDEO] Mason County’s plan to purchase the former Olsen Furniture building continues to draw concerns from two residents. These latest comments came during Tuesday night’s Mason County Commission meeting.

The County is purchasing the building at 414 West Franklin Street in downtown Shelton for $900,000 with plans to house an expanded District Court and possibly the Clerk’s Office.

Payment will come from REET 1 (Real Estate Excise Tax) funds with 25 percent down and monthly payments for five years at an interest rate of 4.5 percent.
