Two Injured in Victor Crash

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 302 near Victor Thursday night. According to the State Patrol, a 2004 Hyundai Sonata was eastbound on SR 302 about 10:30 PM. Near milepost 4 (just east of Victor Road), the driver of the Hyundai failed to negotiate the curve. The car left the roadway and struck a fence and a tree. The Sonata came to rest in the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Hyundai, Alvin W. Fitzgerald, 29 of Belfair, was injured but not transported.
One of the two passengers in the car, Nicholas E. Novion, 34 of Onalaska, was transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor.
The other passenger, Thomas G. Fitzgerald, 25 of Belfair, was not injured.

The Sonata was totaled and impounded.

The State Patrol press memo indicates that drugs or alcohol were involved in this crash. Alvin Fitzgerald faces Driving Under the Influence charges.
