[VIDEO] Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics broke ground Monday on its new Medical Office Building. The Hospital District’s Commissioners (Scott Hilburn, Gayle Weston and Don Wilson) and CEO, Eric Moll, posed for pictures on the lawn near south Main Entrance of the Hospital where the new structure will be built.
After the photo op, officials held a question and answer session on the $39 Million, two-story, 60,000 square foot building that will bring all MGH clinics (with the exception of the Hoodsport Clinic) into one facility.
The project is being financed by revenue bonds issued by the Hospital District and will not require new tax revenues. The bonds will be repaid using operating revenue.
Work will being soon with the demolition of the hospital’s existing human resources building to make room for the new structure. The new Medical Office Building is expected to open by winter 2019.
