PUD 3 Discusses Carbon Fee Initiative

[VIDEO] One of the Initiatives you will find on the November 6th General Election Ballot is Initiative 1631 – the carbon fee initiative. This measure would charge pollution fees on sources of greenhouse gas pollutants and use the revenue to reduce pollution, promote clean energy, and address climate impacts, under oversight of a public board. Mason PUD 3’s Joel Myer and Lynn Eaton researched the initiative and made the following presentation to the PUD 3’s Commission Tuesday.

The PUD’s staff says the initiative has some good things, some questionable things and some unknown things.
