Shelton Football Drops SSC Opener
The Shelton football team dropped its South Sound Conference opener Friday falling to Capital 46 to 0.
The Highclimbers only managed 67 yards of offense while the Cougars racked up 381 yards.

MMK Falls in Taholah
The Mary M. Knight football team lost at Taholah Friday 56 to 22. The Owls are now 1-and-2 on the season. MMK was scheduled to hold its home opener next Saturday against Tulalip Heritage but that game has been postponed.
NM Football Comes from Behind, Beats Olympic
The North Mason football team scored 30 points in the fourth quarter and erased a 19-point Olympic lead in seven minutes as the Bulldogs won their home opener 51 to 47.
Reese Smelcer scored five touchdowns including TD runs from 42 yards, 16 yards, and 4-yards (three times). Shawn Ward threw for two touchdowns, a 10-yard TD pass to Anthony Arreolo and a 42-yard TD pass to Ryan Nogues.
The boys from Belfair improved to 3-and-0 on the season. North Mason travels to Sequim next Friday.
