Mason County Public Works has scheduled two Saturday closures for the Eells Hill Transfer Station. As MasonWebTV Powered by HCC reported last week, the first closure is this Saturday, September 1, 2018. The second Saturday closure is a week later on September 8th. There will also be a half-day closure on Monday, September 10th.
These closures will allow the contractor for the Eells Hill Transfer Station Improvement Project, McClure & Sons, to complete necessary work.
This Saturday, crews will pour the concrete slab foundation to the loading bay which requires 24 hours to cure before use.
On September 8th, the contractor will pour the second portion of the concrete slab to the loading bay and the curbing edge to the tipping floor. The closures on the 8th and the half-day closure on the 10th will allow adequate curing time before use.
During these closures, Public Works will open the Union Transfer Station, located at 1391 E. McReavy Road, from 9 AM to 4 PM as an option for residents to use.
Notification of any other planned Monday or Saturday closures will continue to be posted onsite as well as on the county’s Facebook page and solid waste website.
