[VIDEO] The three finalists for Shelton City Manager met with the public Monday night. The finalists are Brent Clark (City Administrator of Broken Bow, Nebraska), Henry Lawrence (City Administrator of Eagle Point, Oregon) and Brian Lagerberg (Director of the Public Transportation Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation.)
Prior to meeting one-on-one with those in attendance, each finalist was given an opportunity to speak.
Brent Clark has managed two cities with 11 years local government management experience, and two years of Economic Development experience.
Henry Lawrence has managed four cities over 22 years of local government management experience, with 10 years as the first City Manager for Edgewood, Washington.
Brian Lagerberg has over 20 years of State management experience and is a Shelton area resident.
A fourth finalist, William Vance (City Manager of Pickerington, Ohio), withdrew from consideration over the weekend due to a family emergency.
The finalists will continue the interview process Tuesday which will include meetings with interview panels consisting of Council members, department heads, and industry experts from the community.
The Shelton City Council could make a selection following those panel interviews but that announcement will likely occur next week.
