Chip Seal Work Planned for Dayton Airport Road

Crews will soon return to the West Dayton Airport Road (State Route 102) north of Shelton to seal previously repaired pavement. The protective weatherproofing helps preserve the highway.

This work will occur in numerous areas between US 101 and the Washington Corrections Center. All work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.

Friday, June 29

  • One-way alternating traffic during daylight hours.
  • Reduced speed limits to 35 mph in work zones.
  • Drivers are encouraged to give themselves additional time.

Depending on progress and weather conditions, crews will continue work during the week of July 9. Crews at that time will install a new protective surface on the highway.
