[VIDEO] Shelton Police Chief Darin Moody presented four residents with commendation awards for their efforts that saved the life of an officer recently. The awards were presented during Tuesday night’s Shelton City Council meeting.
As the Chief described, the four found Officer Paul Campbell slumped over the steering wheel of his patrol car near Oakland Bay Junior High School after suffering a medical emergency. The group noticed he was struggling to breathe, pulled him out of the patrol car, placed him in a position that opened his airway and provided first aid. Campbell was then taken to Mason General Hospital and later released. He has since returned to duty.
