Domestic Violence Suspect Surrenders to Police

The 21-year-old man Shelton Police were seeking for a domestic violence assault with a firearm has turned himself in to authorities. According to the City of Shelton’s Twitter page, Donovan N. Henry surrendered to police early Thursday morning with assistance from his attorney. Henry was taken into custody without incident and booked into Mason County Jail.

Around 2:50 AM Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West Cota Street regarding a disturbance involving a firearm. According to a news release, a female was assaulted by her boyfriend and threatened with a firearm. The victim suffered injuries during the altercation.

Before police arrived on scene, the boyfriend (identified as Henry) fled.

Due to public safety concerns, Shelton Police released Henry’s identity early yesterday morning.

Authorities are grateful to the community for their corporation during the search for Henry.
