Mason County PUD No. 1 is welcoming more than 650 customers of 32 water systems to their utility. PUD 1 is buying the water systems from Thurston PUD for just over $1.118 Million. The PUDs signed a purchase and sale agreement on May 1st. PUD 1 financed the purchase through Heritage Bank and the transfer of ownership is expected to be complete on July 1st.
Now, Mason County PUD No. 1 is contacting the customers of those systems and getting them signed up with the Potlatch-based public utility district.
