Mason County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is Thursday. The public and local businesses are encouraged cheer on Law Enforcement Torch Runners and Special Olympians as they run the torch route through Mason County to raise
awareness and funds for Special Olympics Athletes. Participating Law Enforcement Agencies include Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Shelton Police Department, Squaxin Island Tribal Police, Skokomish Tribal Police, Washington State Department of Corrections, Washington State Fish & Wildlife and Washington State Patrol.
ROUTE LIST VIEWING AREAS:
Start Point – 8:00 a.m. 5/31/18. Belfair Safeway parking lot area. Run through the Belfair area past businesses for 1 mile to north precinct along sidewalk of southbound lane of SR 3.
8:20 to 8:25 North Mason School District (71 E Campus Dr, Belfair) Run from Bus Barn around Alternative School, High School & Middle School and back to Bus Barn
8:50 to 9:50 Lake Limerick Run from (North) entrance at St Andrews Dr North to Lake Limerick Fire Station 5-4
10:00 to 10:40 Fire Station 9-2 (50 E. Road Runner Dr.) Run West on McEwan Prairie to Brockdale Rd, then East on McReavy to Fire Station 9-2.
11:00 to 11:40 Alderbrook Community Run from Manzanita Dr (at McReavy) onto E Country Club Dr N then right onto E Fairway Ln and right on Manzanita Dr to McReavy
11:40 to 11:55 Alderbrook Resort & Spa (10 E Alderbrook Dr, Union) Run through cabin area to end of dock and back
12:25 to 12:35 p.m. Washington Corrections Center (2321 W Dayton Airport Rd) Run through parking lot & around flag pole
12:50 to 1255 Shelton High School (3737 N Shelton Springs Rd) Run around the parking lot with athletes
1:00 to 2:00 Shelton HS and around HS; continue down Shelton Springs Rd turning right onto Wallace Kneeland Blvd; turn left onto Olympic Hwy North; turn right onto 7th St; turn left onto Railroad Ave; turn left onto Front St; turn right onto Pine St/SR 3; end at Shelton Yacht Club.
2:40 to 3:30 Squaxin Community Run on Bloomfield Rd from Klah Che Min Dr to Old Olympic Hwy to Squaxin Loop around the Squaxin Police Department (10 SE Squaxin Ln) then along Old Olympic Hwy to the Little Creek Casino
