Nurse Finds Police Officer Slumped Over in Patrol Car

About noon Tuesday, a registered nurse found a Shelton Police officer slumped over the steering wheel of his patrol car near Oakland Bay Junior High School

The officer had suffered a medical emergency and the woman noticed he was struggling to breathe. She pulled him out of the patrol car and provided first aid. The Olympian Newspaper says the nurse placed him in a position that opened his airway.

The 27-year law enforcement veteran then was taken to Mason General Hospital and later released.
