Shelton Police Arrest Vandal

Shelton Police arrested a 29-year-old Shelton woman for vandalizing cars along Turner Avenue early Wednesday morning. According to a news release, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Turner at 2:10 AM regarding a female breaking car windows with rocks and opening residents mail boxes. One of the victims of vandalism provided dispatchers a description of the suspect and the first officer on-scene quickly located the suspect and took her into custody, without incident.

Further investigation by the officer revealed that three car windows had been broken by the suspect. Additionally, in the morning of May 23rd, day-shift officers began receiving numerous calls from more victims in the Angleside area of Shelton. They were able to identify at least five more victims with broken car windows and numerous mailbox contents emptied onto the ground.

The suspect was booked into the Mason County Jail for Malicious Mischief 1st Degree and Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree.
