Three people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 3 near Agate Road Friday night.
The State Patrol says a Honda CR-V was northbound on SR-3 about 9 PM. At milepost 10, The SUV attempted to turn left into a driverway, pulling in front of a southbound Volkswagen Beetle. The two vehicles collided head-on. The VW flipped over onto its top and came to rest on the southbound shoulder. State Route 3 was fully blocked for over three hours.
The driver of the Beetle, Harlee R. Carrawy, 17 of Shelton, was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
A passenger in the VW, Lauren D. Stoots-Starks, 17 of Shelton, was transported to Mason General Hospital.
The driver of the Honda, Margie E. Hayden, 77 of Shelton. was trasnported to Mason General Hospital.
The Trrooper’s report indicates the cause of this crash was failure to yield on the part of Hayden.
