The Shelton fastpitch softball team was eliminated from the West Central District 3 / Southwest District 4 Tournament Thursday, dropping two games at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey.
In their first game, the Lady Highclimbers were held to one hit by Stadium falling 11 to 1. Alyssa Jorgensen had that hit and Taylor Rasler stole home in the fifth inning to score Shelton’s only run.
In the second game, the ‘Climbers lost to Mountiainview 5 to 4. The Thunder rallied from a 4 to 1 deficit, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh. Jorgensen led Shelton in loss going 3 for 4 at the plate with a home run, two doubles and two RBI. Taya Gouley went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBI. Rasler was 2 for 4 with a double and scored two runs.
Shelton finishes the season with a 10-and-14 records, fifth in the South Sound Conferenece.
