Those wanting to run for election office this fall can file for those seats beginning Monday. Deadline to file is close of business Friday.
Among the partisan positions up for election this year in Mason County are Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Commissioner (District 3), Coroner, Prosecutor, Sheriff, and Treasurer.
Nonpartisan County offices open for election are PUD 1 Commissioner (District 3), PUD 3 Commissioner (District 3), Superior Court Judge (Position 2), and District Court Judge.

State positions open for election are 35th District Legislative Representatives (Positions 1 and 2) and State Senator.
The U.S. Senate seat currently held by Maria Cantwell, 6th Congressional District U.S. Representative, held by Derek Kilmer, 10th Congressional District U.S. Representative, held by Denny Heck are up for re-election.
There are also State Supreme Court and Court of Appeals positions up for re-election.
Candidates filing for these positions must file with the Secretary of State’s office..
The Primary Election is August 7th. The General Election is November 6th.
