North Mason Places 3rd in Sub District Track Meet

The North Mason track and field teams finishes third in the Class 2A Olympic League Sub District Meet at Bremerton High School. The Lady Bulldogs finished behind Port Angeles and North Kitsap while the boys from Belfair followed North Kitsap and Sequim.

Top five finishers are heading to the Class 2A West Central District III Meet May 18th and 19th at Renton Stadium.

This includes the following from North Mason:

Lily Campbell continued to dominate taking the girls’ shot put, discus and javelin.
Natalie Carstensen won the girls’ 400 meters.
Morgan Shumaker placed 2nd in the girls’ 400 meters.
Christopher Newton finished 2nd in the boys’ long jump.
Braeden Kemmer took 2nd in the boys’ triple jump.
Daniel Hornbuckle took 3rd in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles.
Carlie Durbin placed 4th in the girls’ javelin.
Felicity Fowler took 4th in the girls’ high jump.
Grady Durbing finished 4th in the boys’ shot put and 5th in the discus.
Anthoney Arreola was 4th in the boys’ 100 meters and 5th in the 200 meters.
Reese Smelcer finished 5th in the boys’ 100 meters.
Pasiulai Tupolo placed 5th in the boys’ shot put.
The Bulldog relay teams qualified for the boys’ 4 x 100, and the girls’ 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and 4 x 400.The relay team of Austin Williams, Braeden Kemmer, Anthoney Arreola and Reese Smelcer took the boys’ 4 x 100.
