Baseball Family Creates Chaos

A baseball family that creates chaos on the diamond. That is how Shelton Baseball Coach Jason Winans describes his District bound-Highclimbers. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC’s Dedrick Allan spoke with the coach Wednesday while his fourth-seeded team warmed up for practice.

The Shelton baseball team opens play in the West Central District 3 / Southwest District 4 Tournament Saturday against Evergreen, the number two team from the Greater St. Helen’s League. The game is being played at Heritage Park in Puyallup. First pitch between the Highclimbers and the Plainsmen is 1 PM. Shelton will play two games Saturday. The second game will be against either Wilson or Timberline at 4 PM. Click here for the bracket of this 16-team, double elimination tournament. Shelton is battling for one of six spots in the State Tournament.
