After having most of the week off for spring break, the Shelton baseball team picked up its tenth win of the season Friday with a 13 to 2 non-league win at Centralia. Shelton scored six runs in the third inning and five runs in the fourth. The Highclimbers had a dozen hits and took advantage of five errors.
Ty Smotherman led the way going 2 for 3 at the plate with double and three RBI.
Max “Falcon” Johnson was 3 for 3 with a double.
Caeleb Hitsman and Brenden Engstrom batted in two runs each.
And Josh Deemer and Matthew Osberg each had an RBI.
Austin Ramsfield picked up the win, going five innings allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking one.
Shelton is now 10-and-2 on the season. They return to South Sound Conference play Tuesday at Timberline. The Highclimbers are 4-and-2 in the SSC. They host the Blazers Wednesday and MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will broadcast that game live.
