Port Looking for Input on Marina

The Port of Shelton is looking for input on the future of Oakland Bay Marina and is holding a series of public forums to hear from residents, users and tenants. The first forum was during Tuesday’s Port of Shelton Commission meeting.

The Port’s Executive Director, Wendy Smith, gave a brief presentation on the marina including possible options from completing planned repairs to a public/private partnership to selling the Shelton marina. Smith also explained the pros and cons of each scenario before hearing input from those in attendance.

No decisions have been made and the Port wants to hear your ideas.

Two more forums are scheduled for this month: 10 AM Saturday, April 14th and 6 PM Wednesday, April 18th. The April 14th forum will be held in the Port Commission Chambers at the Port of Shelton office, 21 W. Sanderson Way. The April 18th forum has been moved to the PUD 3 Auditorium, 2621 E Johns Prairie Road.

You can also provide input by emailing debs@portofshelton.com or by calling the Port 360-426-1151.
