Special Election Ballots Sent Overseas; Remaining in Mail April 3rd

Ballots for the April 24th Special Election that includes four races for Shelton City Council and a Southside School District levy have already been mailed to registered voters overseas and in the military. According to Mason County Auditor Karen Herr, this advance mailing provides those voters with ample time to receive their ballots and return them in a timely manner.

Ballots will be mailed to Mason County voters on April 3rd. Those in the City and Southside School District must return their ballots via a ballot drop box by 8:00 p.m. on Election Night or by mail which must be postmarked by Election Day, April 24th, in order to be counted.

March 26th is the deadline for mail-in or online voter registrations and voter updates prior to the April Special Election and April 16th is the last day for in-person registration in order to vote in the Special Election.

Replacement ballots are available by calling 360-427-9670 ext. 470, appearing in person between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Auditor’s office, or on-line at www.myvote.wa.gov.
