The Shelton baseball team lost its first game of the season Tuesday falling in South Sound Conference play at North Thurston 6 to 4. The Highclimbers scored one run in the frist inning but the Rams responded with two runs in their half of the opening frame. Shelton came back with two runs in the third and one in the fourth to take a 4 to 2 lead but NT rallied in their half of the fouth with three runs to take back the lead and added an insurance run in the fifth. The ‘Climbers are now 3-and-1 on the season and host the Rams again today (Wednesday, March 21st) – weather permitting. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will broadcast the 4 PM game.
In girls’ golf: Shelton 81, Peninsula 143. Seahawk freshman Kaily Bass earned medalist honors. The Lady Highclimbers host Capital at Alderbrook Country Club next Tuesday.

Monday, the Shelton fast pitch softball team picked up their first win of the season at Central Kitsap beating the Cougars 9 to 4. The Lady Highclimbers are now 1-and-2 on the season and host Peninsula today (Wednesday, March 21st) – weather permitting.
The North Mason fast pitch softball team lost their Olympic League opener to Sequim 7 to 6. The Lady Bulldogs are 2-and-4 on the season. The girls from Belfair host Coupevill Friday.
The North Mason girls’ tennis team lost to Olympic 7 to 0. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Sequim today.
