Habitat for Humanity of Mason County welcomes the public, volunteers, family and friends (especially little ones) to a Blessing Ceremony for Habitat Home #27. The on-site Ceremony will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 25th at 325 Grandview Avenue in Shelton. Carpooling is encouraged.
During the Blessing Ceremony, guests are invited to write a special message or prayer on the studs throughout the home, now nearing its final phase of construction. Future homeowners Froylan Ochoa and Angelica Godinez will be on hand. Young daughters Jareily, Citlally and baby Dayanna will be encouraged to leave their hand prints on the inside of what will soon be their bedroom walls!
Marty Crow, Executive Director and COO of Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is enthused. “With the tremendous support of our community and the hard work of our volunteers, the opportunity of home ownership will soon become a reality for another Habitat family. We have enjoyed the support of several teams coming together on our job site to help build our community, learn a few construction skills, have fun and walk away knowing their contribution of a few hours will help provide a lifetime of opportunity.”
The Blessing is a great time to thank our volunteers and community partners. Habitat is grateful to local business partners Sierra Pacific Industries, Foster Williams Architects, Kimbel Construction, Cogent Construction, Certainteed Roofing, Kamin Excavation, Island Johnny, Taylor Shellfish and Skookum Rotary. We also had helpers from the Uplift Program of ResCare!
Come to the Blessing and leave your special message or hand print as a show of support.
