SHS Baseball Wins, Softball & Girls’ Golf Lose; NM Softball Wins, Baseball Loses
The Shelton baseball team beat Tumwater Wednesday 12 to 4 to open the season 2-and-0. The Highclimbers rallied from four runs down in the first inning, scoring four runs in the third inning to tie the game, added a run in the fifth to take the lead and blew open the game in the sixth with seven runs. Caeleb Hitsman led Shelton going 3 for 4 at the plate, with two doubles and four RBI. And Maxillion Johnson who was 1 for 3 hit a two-run double in the sixth inning. The ‘Climbers hit the road Friday traveling to Elma.
The Shelton fastpitch softball team lost its season opener at Tumwater Wednesday 16 to 1. The Lady Highclimbers gave up three runs in the first inning, seven runs in the second and six runs in the fourth and the game called in the fifth inning due to the 10-run mercy rule. The Sheton girls’ golf team lost to Bremerton Wednesday 227 to 225.
The North Mason fastpitch softball team picked up their first win of the season Wednesday knocking off Tenino 14 to 4. The Lady Bulldogs are 1-and-3 on the season. The girls from Belfair host Centralia Monday.
The North Mason baseball team lost to Tenino Wednesday 5 to 3. The Bulldogs have lost their last three games and are 1-and-4 on the season. The boys from Belfair travel to Olympic Friday.
